Cancer Fighter Justin is Welcomed to Ford Field
Meet Justin, a 12-year old, brave, funny, nice and awesome kid that was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in October after complaining to his parents of bad headaches. Justin and his family recently returned from an extended stay at St. Jude Hospital in Tennessee last week to grant Justin his wish of being home for Christmas.
Justin came Sunday evening’s Lions vs. Giants game with Wicked Awesome Wishes and his father, Roy. Justin had a smile that lit up the field! Coach Washburn gave him one of the game balls and then linebacker Stephen Tulloch came onto the field and gave him his gloves! Justin was so excited!
Not only did Justin have a great time at the game, but he the Wicked Awesome Wishes team gifts! Everyone — from Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men CEO Chad Johnson and his wife, Jenny to the entire time of Detroit Lions players — received “TEAM JUSTIN” bracelets, which are gray in honor of brain cancer.
