Chad Johnson, CEO of Lady Jane's, Makes Large Donation to Downtown Boxing Gym

Located on Detroit's East Side, the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program is doing amazing things for the inner-city youth, and their mission goes far beyond its demanding boxing program.

Before kids get to put on the gloves, DBG's priority is to provide academic support, offering daily tutoring services with trainers, counselors and tutors on site for some 65 students between the ages of eight and 18 -- a majority of which live within three miles of the facility. The program, has been so successful, there are somewhere around 150 kids on the waiting list.

Chad Johnson, CEO of Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men -- who founded his own charity, Wicked Awesome Wishes, is always looking for opportunities to help the city of Detroit -- especially when it comes to supporting its youth.

Recently, Johnson made a donation worth nearly $9,000 that consisted of computers, chairs, keyboards, printers, phones and assorted equipment that will help DBG fill it's new building that will accommodate far more children. Full story
