Lady Jane’s and Wicked Awesome Wishes Hosts Fathers and Sons for a King’s Only Treatment

It was a wicked awesome Sunday for select fathers and sons thanks to a king’s only treatment at the Ann Arbor Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men followed by an afternoon of Detroit Tigers baseball in a suite at Comerica Park. Lady Jane’s CEO Chad Johnson and his charity, Wicked Awesome Wishes, set out to give seven boys selected through C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and their dads a day of carefree fun.

“These guys keep telling me thank you, but what they don’t know is that it’s actually them giving me a gift,” said Johnson. “Having the privilege to help in this way humbles me greatly.”

The day started early with a continental breakfast at the Ann Arbor Lady Jane’s and salon treatment that included a haircut and shampoo, scalp massage, or facial. A face painter was also on hand to make sure dads and kids looked their best for the game. Everyone also received a Detroit Tigers cap while the kids were given an Amazon Kindle Fire with a little LJ twist … each had the black, orange, and yellow logo adorned on the back.

After time at the salon, the group was shuttled to the ball park to watch the Detroit Tigers game in style in a party suite with Johnson, his family, Lady Jane’s Stylist of the Year, Kelsey Salvati, and stylist Bella Batista.

“It was so much fun meeting these dads and kids,” said Kelsey. “I love the fact that I get opportunities like these as a part of Lady Jane’s!”

The only thing that could have made the day better was a win from Detroit, but the fun of the day definitely overshadowed the score. “It was awesome to meet each and every kid and dad who came out today,” said Johnson. “I hope they enjoyed it half as much as I did!”
