2 Wishes Granted in Clearwater, FL!
Lady Jane’s & Wicked Awesome Wishes are overwhelmed with joy from our 2 wishes granted in Clearwater, FL. The first for Nancy Hawks and the second for Brady Fisher and his wife, Joann.
Wish #1 - Our Clearwater location received a phone call from a sweet woman by the name of Nancy Hawks. Nancy was recently diagnosed with cancer and asked if we would be willing to take her on as a client because she would be experiencing hair loss from her upcoming chemotherapy treatments. She wanted to transition to a shorter hairstyle since she would soon be losing most of her hair. During the conversation it became clear that Nancy was uncomfortable asking about the costs of our services. Since her diagnosis, her financial obligations have become overwhelming. In addition, her job has not been able to offer her much support which has progressively put financial strain on Nancy. Our management team agreed to set Nancy up with a pampering Lady Jane’s experience. We even paired Nancy up with our stylist, Shannon, who is also battling cancer. It melted our hearts to give back to this woman in her time of need, but we wanted to do more!
Wish #2 - Brady has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a fast-growing tumor in the brain. Recently, doctors were able to remove the majority of the tumor, but 15% is along the brain stem and inoperable. Brady has begun chemotherapy and radiation treatments to keep the tumor from growing and hopefully shrink what is left. Unfortunately, there is no cure. Brady is undergoing these treatments in the hopes he will have more time, at least a year. This family’s medical bills continue to grow and these extra expenses have put a strain on their finances. Despite his grave circumstances, Brady is always a beacon of hope and constantly thinking of others.
The holidays are stressful enough as it is and we’re grateful to help aid these strong individuals during this difficult time.
